My artwork calls attention to the power of nature and focuses on depicting ordinary but intimate fleeting moments between us and our landscape. I am interested in revealing the many small, private encounters discovered from everyday walks where I observe and learn from nature's ever-changing disposition, and the place that humans have in the environment. Through painting, and sculpture, I aim to show how these encounters remind us of the virtue and gifts of our natural environment.  It is a record of nature's subliminal beauty and unique ability to be rough and violent - yet delicate and ethereal.

Adelia Roberts is a multimedia artist working primarily with painting, sculpture and alternative photographic printing processes. She holds a BFA from the State University of New York at New Paltz and an MA from the University of East London. Roberts has exhibited nationally and internationally. She currently resides in Brooklyn, NY.
